During the past week or so I've been discussing with a very good friend of mine the subject of blessings.
Our religion teaches us that if we live righteously, keep the commandments, pay our tithing and do everything in our power to be great and honorable people we will be blessed. If we do this, then why do bad things happen? Why when families prepare to send out missionaires do loved ones lose thier jobs? Why do loved ones suffer from medical problems? Why do we have to live from paycheck to paycheck?
I don't have the answer, but have come to realize that the adversary is hard at work. He wants us to be miserable, unhappy, lose faith and suffer. However, the Lord is hard at work as well. We need to put our trust in our Heavenly Father and allow those blessings to freely flow. In our troubled times we may not recognize the blessing behind losing a job or becoming ill, but what we must do is be grateful for the things we do have.
What am I grateful for?
Greg! He's always there for me, no matter what.
Friends who listen and dont' judge.
Kids who love unconditionally.
Family who support and comfort, no matter what!
My Savior, who blesses me with his love
"And he who receiveth all things with thankfullness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea more." D&C 78:19
Live every day...LOVE every moment.

what a great, positive attitude you have!
You're right, the Lord is working hard as well! What comfort we can have in knowing he is there for us. He doesn't want us unhappy. Thanks J!
Amen! Thanks for reminding me! Oh, and by the way-I would love to do your pics sometime.
